SOON !
“At that time Michael shall stand up,
The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people;
And there shall be a time of trouble,
Such as never was since there was a nation,
Even to that time.
And at that time your people shall be delivered,
Everyone who is found written in the book.
2 And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake,
Some to everlasting life,
Some to shame and everlasting [a]contempt.
3 Those who are wise shall shine
Like the brightness of the firmament,
And those who turn many to righteousness
Like the stars forever and ever.
4 “But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”
Daniel 12:1-4
Jesus Christ is coming again and there is a shift happening. A greater understanding has been gained. The number of people travelling from one place to another has led to an increase in transportation. In the past century, horse carriages were chartered. Runners were used to send mail. Since the beginning of time, that has been how it has been, but in less than 100 years, things have changed drastically. It takes less than a second for an electronic system to send an email today. We have started using electric vehicles. Our world is evolving tremendously every day. We are literally experiencing an increase in knowledge at this point in time. There is a great important shift in this time period for the coming of Jesus.
After many days you will be visited. In the latter years you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword and gathered from many people on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely.
Ezekiel 38:8
After many days, the land of Israel will be visited. During the first exile, they were taken to Babylon. After 70 years, they were brought from Babylon as spoken by Prophet Jeremiah. However, the verse mentions that it had been desolate for a long time. So, it wasn't about exile. After years of desolation, Israel was formed as a nation in 1848. It was necessary for this generation to witness that shift. It is not mere coincidence. Many jews will come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ.
26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written:
“The Deliverer will come out of Zion,
And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;
27 For this is My covenant with them,
When I take away their sins.”
Romans 11:26-27
He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
Revelation 22:20
“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.
Matthew 24:36
6 Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”
7 And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.
Acts 1:6-7
15 which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords,
1 Timothy 6:15
44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
50 the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of,
Matthew 24:44,50
Jesus is coming soon. Before Jesus went to the cross, His disciples asked when He would return. Jesus answered, “soon”. They asked Him again after He rose from the dead, hoping for a more recent revelation - but His answer remained the same. He did not give an explanation concerning the precise time or day, but it will certainly be unexpected. He continued to say that He is coming soon. We must be ready. We remain ready every day when we practise daily living in trust. We cannot count on His coming back at a specific moment. The month and time of a baby's birth can be predicted, but we cannot predict the return of Jesus like that.
4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.
1 Thessalonians 5:4
This verse is used by many to determine the exact day of The Lord's return, so that they won't miss it. For over 2000 years, many have predicted dates and times and prepared earnestly. For the past 2000 years, no one has predicted correctly. This is because this lies in God’s hands. In the parable of 10 virgins, all 10 of them were unaware of when He was coming. Therefore, it does not require us to put all of our energy into finding out when He will arrive exactly. It is not given in our control.
4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.”
2 Peter 3:4
Those who doubt the coming of our Lord look down at it, unsure if it will really happen. They ask why it has not been fulfilled after long speaking. It is certain that Jesus will return soon. To Him, one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like one day. There is one thing we do know for sure: Jesus is coming again. Hallelujah.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
Matthew 24:14
War, famine, and earthquakes are common today as they were during the early days. But in these last days, revival is assured. Then the end will come. Before the coming of Jesus, the church will undergo a great revival and enlightenment. Church will experience great glory. We are in such times. There is a great deal of talk of doom and gloom before the second coming. I jump for joy when I hear that the Lord is coming because there is going to be a later rain. We do not have to keep talking about these perilous and uncertain times. In Isaiah 60, the Lord commands us to rise and shine because the light of the Lord has come upon us.
Behold (see) darkness shall cover the earth and gross darkness the people but the Lord shall arise upon us, and his glory shall be seen upon us. Be the voice of blessing to your nation. Rise up and speak blessings over your nation. Despite the hopelessness of the world, we have a wonderful hope in Christ Jesus. We are the light of the world, a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden. We are the salt of this earth. The world is looking to us for hope. We should not be looking to the world. The Lord said, “Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.” (Isaiah 60:3). There is going to be a revival. There is going to be a shine forth. Let us rise and shine.
26 men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
Luke 21:26
If you keep expecting those things which are coming on the earth, you are most likely to fear. Look up and lift up your heads, redemption draws near (Luke 21:28). There is a sure hope for us when Jesus comes. God said about Moses that he will make him god to Pharaoh. Why? Pharaoh had never witnessed God. God showed Pharaoh what God looked like by making Moses God. Today people in the world are searching for God. The only answer they have is us.
We are the Christians - the ones displaying ‘Christ’ in us.
Our lives reflect Christ for them. The time has come to rise and shine. During these last days, many people fear persecution.
When glory is revealed, there will be little persecution. The persecution cannot be compared to the glory that is revealed. In prison, Paul and Silas were beaten severely and bound. They praised God because God’s presence was so strong. The more they praised, the thicker God's presence became. It intensified to the point that the earth shook, chains fell, prison doors shattered open and the jailer accepted Jesus. That is revival at its finest.
Don’t keep your eyes on the persecution. It is nothing compared to the glory of God being revealed. People will see signs and wonders and accept Jesus Christ. We are in the glorious end times - a period of the latter rain. I do not spend my time reading newspapers or watching news where the enemy is unleashing fear in the hearts of believers.
Instead, I spend time in the good news of the gospel where I receive strength and courage from God. The Lord alone is my shepherd and He will never fail me. My God who keeps Israel neither sleeps nor slumbers. He makes me lie down in green pastures and leads me by still waters. This is what we should know. God’s Word will surely remove fear and bring all about success in our lives.
