A famous Christian minister urged a sick man to keep confessing “By Jesus stripes, I am healed”. The sick man kept remembering and confessing it almost every hour. There was no noticeable difference that same day. Afterwards, God showed this man a dream of what had happened all day. A deep darkness surrounded him, but when he confessed about his healing, fire surged out of his mouth and dispelled the darkness. The same thing happened three times that day. It was clear to him that God's Word had power. After a month of doing this, the man left the hospital completely well and healed.
A basketball coach framed his first salary check to the wall so that he and his children could remember it. Likewise, the same coach pointed out it would be foolish to do so if the first month's salary were a billion dollars. Many of us today store all these precious promises of God on a shelf like they are photos. We have to speak it out to experience God’s fullness and miracles in our life. A wonderful minister once said, “It is not enough if only you believed, you got to speak”.
Our role as Christians is to keep the Word of God in our mouths and keep speaking it - so full of God's Word. Keep speaking God's Word rather than being quiet, silent Christians.
5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Hebrews 13:5
When you come to church, some might have come by walking, some might have come by two-wheeler, and some might have come in a costly car. If you have to be content then some have to continue to keep walking, some should continue in two-wheeler, some should continue using costly cars all throughout your life. It seems unfair and partial. But God is not a respecter of person. If you don't have money, you should not be worried about it or lust after it. But you keep meditating on God’s Word, “The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures.”
Once you are full of this, money will come. You will not be at the same level. Whether you walked your whole life or not, Mercedes Benz will come to you. It is certain that goodness and mercy will continue to follow you. Rather than turning your attention to Benz, stay focused on God's Word.
5 For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”.
6 So we may boldly say:
“The Lord is my helper;I will not fear.What can man do to me?”

In the midst of the opposition to apostle Paul, many people left him. He would have been surrounded by fear. At such a time Paul kept saying, “Lord, you said you will never leave me nor forsake me. You are always with me. You are always by my side. I thank you Lord for it”. Suddenly, rhema flowed from within him for that situation as he spoke this (logos). Paul then boldly declared saying “I will boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”
As I was running my business, I developed an allergy that caused swelling from head to toe. It came twice a month and I had to be bedridden for four days straight. My only food was little curd rice with pickle. There was nothing I could eat that did not cause allergies. There have been a variety of remedies I have tried, including allopathy, homeopathy, and others. Ultimately, steroid injections were the only way to control the allergy, but the side effects would be severe. Although I suffered greatly for four months, I constantly proclaimed, "I am healed by the stripes of Jesus". The swelling would start in my hand and keep coming as if in a line. I would run home from my shop as soon as I saw it.
An excerpt from Smith Wrigglesworth's book caught my eye one day in a bookstore.
It read, "I have the blood bought healing." At that moment, I instantly knew how I would not forfeit one acre of land my father has given me. It would be my right to fight for it if anyone tried to steal it. But when it comes to our body, the devil has stolen my health in square inches from my head to toe. My righteous anger led me to say, "How dare you, devil."
'Get your hands off of me, devil.' He left that day and the sickness never returned. Don't keep crying and talking about your fears and sickness even if he attacks you at midnight. Just tell “out in the name of Jesus”.
It is important for us to be aware of spiritual things as spiritual people. A friend of mine shared a prayer request with me. The father-in-law prepared everything for his daughter's marriage with a well-established man working for an MNC. During the wedding, a snake appeared out of the flower garland.
The man lost his job after the wedding and has been jobless since then. In the case of my friend's father-in-law, both of his legs had to be amputated due to a disease in his leg. My friend, who was very wealthy, suddenly lost all his wealth and had to sell his cars. He simply asked me to pray for him and left.
Think about if someone was digging up your house's wall, would you ignore it and go to work? This will cause the entire house to collapse. Pregnant women have had bad dreams of losing their child and lost their baby the next day as a result. Year after year, it happened to them. It is not possible to ignore and keep going to the doctor over and over again. The issues are not physical. It is necessary for you to use God's word, your offensive machaira.
When my father was 72, he suddenly fell ill and lost a lot of weight. He was preparing to leave the Earth. He was bedridden. The homeopathic doctor he consulted gave up and said that my father was too old. He didn’t know what was happening to him and he became very lean and sick. My church friend and I prayed for many things like we used to. In a vision, I saw an angel who looked like a prince. For a moment, I thought Jesus was standing there. The angel told me, “I have come to take life”. Those words made me realize there was something wrong. Jesus came to give life and life in abundance. My vision showed me exactly where the angel, who looked like a prince, stood. On that exact spot, I stood. It was there that I could see my dad lying in bed and the front door of our neighbour’s house. I knew this was spiritual and rebuked the devil. Every time I returned home, I felt a different (strange) discomfort, so I knew it was spiritual.
My morning prayer routine begins at 4 am on the terrace. The upstairs was rented out to another family. He owned a medical shop and met me when I walked downstairs. He asked if my dad was well. I answered “no, he appears to be the same”. During that time, he told me there had been an outbreak of typhoid, and I should ask my dad to take a particular medicine. For three days, I was instructed to administer that dosage. He suggested that I continue administration for 9 to 21 days if that did not work. Immediately, I got the medicine. Immediately after giving the medicine to my dad, he felt better. My dad recovered completely in a day. A spiritual battle is being fought here. The Word of God (Machaira) must be used by you in order to take your stand. Then the medicine will start working for you. The spiritual person should be able to discern and know spiritual things.
3 Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”.
Matthew 4:3
If the devil came and said this to you, you can’t be thinking at that moment “what verse can I say now? “. You can’t search for the verses related to bread on the internet and concordance in that last moment like some prepared for their tests at the last minute. You have to be prepared. Don’t wait till the evil day to start preparing. Jesus was able to talk immediately because He had The Word in His mouth.
4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’”

This is followed by something beautiful. The devil took Jesus up. Not to bring Him to Madurai but to the Holy city. To do what? To set Him on the pinnacle of the holy temple!! As children, we used to put a cross on every side and corner of our rooms before sleeping to keep the devil out. The devil is not scared by crosses drawn in the air, according to Matthew 4. The devil even took up Jesus and kept testing Him. The devil then took him up an exceedingly high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. Jesus then said to him, Satan, get thee out of here. There was a great deal of power and boldness in Jesus' words.
You don't even have to say it that long, the devil obeys when you utter "out in Jesus name". In Luke 4, the same thing happened again. The order of the questions are a little changed there because the devil repeated the same questions. There is nothing new here - the devil is using the same age-old tricks and asking the same questions. You can use the same answer you used to overcome again and again. It is easy to win the devil. Use the same verse that delivered you the first time. Mathew and Luke have different sequences of questions. Why is that? Jesus was tested many times by the devil with the same questions. Once you overcome, don't think the devil will never return. In the first two tests, Jesus used the phrase "it is written", but in the third he used the phrase "it is said". After a while, the devil left him.
