Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
Galatians 6:7
It is not hard to understand that a man reaps what he sows. If he would like to see a harvest of wheat, he will sow wheat seeds. When a man sows apple seeds, he cannot reap mangoes. We may agree that a man who committed a crime deserves punishment. Anything that a man sows, he reaps a harvest for the same. This principle is well demonstrated in both the Bible and systems of the world. There are three instances in history where this principle has been proven false.
When mankind’s forefather Adam ate the forbidden fruit and fell, he sowed a seed of disobedience. As a result of Adam's seed of disobedience, the entire human race reaped the harvest of sin, curses(curse), sickness, poverty, and even death.
This fall was experienced by all mankind without them having to do anything bad. Once a child is born into this sinful world, they automatically inherit the curse.
The man called Jesus Christ lived a life of perfection- blameless and without sin. If anyone should have lived his best life, it must have been Jesus. The wages of sin is death. Without sin, there is no death. Jesus could never experience death as he knew no sin.
Jesus challenged boldly, saying, "Can any of you prove me guilty of sin?" (John 8:46). Yet, for our sakes, Jesus reaped what He did not sow. By doing so, he became the atonement for our sin.
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
2 Cor 5:21
Surely He has borne our griefsAnd carried our sorrows;Yet we esteemed Him stricken,Smitten by God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions,He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,And by His stripes we are healed.
Isaiah 53:4,5
When a person accepts Jesus Christ as His Lord and saviour - he is forgiven, blessed, healed, and delivered completely. This person reaps this blessing that he doesn't sow.
Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble.
2 Peter 1:10
We are now experiencing the reward of Jesus's suffering and sacrifice for us on the cross. We read in 2 Cor 5:21 how Jesus became sin, so we are now made the righteousness of God in Him.
Christ redeemed us from the law's curse by becoming a curse for us.
Galatians 3:13
Jesus was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds, we are healed
Isaiah 53:5
